History

Founder Shichirō Yukihira established Yukihira Chemical Industries in Yugeta, Tagawa City, and launched a business producing light calcium carbonate.

 Yukihira Chemical Industries was reorganized and incorporated as Tagawa Shikkui Labs Co. Ltd. 

 Began research and development of calcium carbonate for livestock feed. 

Obtained development permits for “Kencal,” a calcium supplement for food products, and “Calsso,” a calcium supplement for livestock feed. Established Mineral Chemical Industries Co., Ltd. as the manufacturer and distributor of these products.

Began research and development of pre-mixed plaster (shikkui). 

Began manufacturing and selling the patented AS Plaster and began manufacturing waterproof cement.

Developed Japan's first pre-mixed plaster, "Shirokabe," and began its manufacture and sale.

Celebrated the company's 50th anniversary.

Introduced a large-scale plant for mass production of "Shirokabe," expanding the Shirokabe product lineup. 

Independently developed "long-aged shikkui cream" and began manufacturing and selling "Kodai-Shikkui," a pre-mixed plaster made from this cream. 

Began research and development on plasterboard.

Began manufacturing and selling the colored shikkui products “Otsu” and “Doki.”

Began research and development on shikkui tiles.

Began manufacturing and selling "Limix," a non-fired shikkui ceramics. 

Began manufacturing and selling the DIY shikkui "NURI2."

Began marketing “Shell Ash shikkui”—a product we have been developing, manufacturing, and selling specifically for use on cultural properties—as a series that includes auxiliary materials for cultural properties.

Began manufacturing and selling "MILIME," a shikkui for painting applications.

Celebrated the company's 100th anniversary.

Shimon Yukihira was appointed as the fourth President and CEO.
