Frequently Asked Questions

Q.

How do I use it?

A.

After taking off your shoes, simply place one Deodo Tile inside each shoe. The plaster tile absorbs the odors and moisture that have built up while you were wearing them. No special preparation or switches are needed.

Q.

How does it remove odors?

A.

The surface of the plaster is dotted with countless tiny holes (pores) that are too small to see. These holes absorb the compounds that cause shoe odor—such as isovaleric acid and ammonia—as well as moisture. Rather than masking odors with fragrance, this system works by absorbing the source of the odor.

Q.

How many times can I use it?

A.

You can use it over and over again. Please air it out in the sun from time to time. Exposing it to sunlight breaks down any absorbed odors and restores its ability to absorb them. There is no need to replace it regularly.

Q.

Can I use this on children's shoes?

A.

Yes. The tiles measure approximately 13 cm × 4 cm and can be used for a wide range of shoe sizes, from children's to adults'.

Q.

Can it be used for things other than shoes?

A.

Yes. It’s also recommended for places where air tends to get trapped, such as shoe cabinets, drawers, and closets. With seven colors to choose from, you can use different colors for each family member or assign specific colors to different areas.

Q.

Is there anything I should be careful about when using it?

A.

Just like pottery, it may break if dropped or subjected to a strong impact. Since the broken pieces can be sharp, please stop using it if it becomes damaged.
