We are currently engaged in a project in Ukraine that upcycles war rubble through the on-site manufacturing of "Limix" — our environmentally friendly, non-fired shikkui ceramics — and "Limix Tile," an interior tile made from it. Guided by our vision of "Making Tagawa's craftsmanship a global standard," we are expanding the possibilities for a new future by combining local materials with our own expertise, spanning everything from supporting the recovery of disaster-affected areas to building sustainable cities.

Limix On-Site Technology Transfer

Through the supply of a patent-pending material that accelerates the hardening of slaked lime using high-pressure pressing, we are providing technical assistance to companies in various countries that are exploring the manufacture of tiles made from unfired, environmentally superior shikkui ceramics as an alternative to conventional fired tiles. In our current reconstruction support project in Ukraine, we are conducting joint research with a company that aims to reuse the massive amounts of rubble generated by the war as aggregate and upcycle it into tiles for post-war reconstruction.
